Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has officially pulled back the curtain on its next major project, delivering fresh details for Stranger Than Heaven during a dedicated Xbox showcase. Set to launch this winter on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the ambitious historical title serves as a foundational origin story for the Tojo Clan.
Culturally, the project flexes a massive international roster. Hip Hop legend Snoop Dogg steps into the digital realm to portray a smuggler named Orpheus, alongside his son Cordell Broadus as “The Veiled Stranger.” The celebrity cast extends further with Japanese superstar Ado and Grammy-winning artist Tori Kelly, who both contribute to the official theme song.
Yu Shirota voices the lead protagonist, while the estate of legendary yakuza film star Bunta Sugawara granted permission to utilize the late actor’s likeness for the character Genzo Iwaki.
