White Like Me is a legendary 1984 satirical mockumentary sketch from Saturday Night Live, starring Eddie Murphy as he goes undercover using heavy makeup to experience America as a white man.

The highly acclaimed segment parodies John Howard Griffin’s famous 1961 nonfiction book, Black Like Me, where a white journalist dyed his skin to investigate racial prejudice in the Jim Crow South. Instead of performing live, Murphy pre-filmed the short as a special return appearance after leaving the main cast.
