While the song was originally published in 1940 and recorded by big band leaders like Glenn Miller. Domino completely transformed it at Master Recorders in Hollywood with his rhythmic New Orleans piano triplets and warm Creole-inflected vocals. His legendary version reached #2 on the Billboard pop charts and dominated the R&B charts at #1 for 11 weeks, going on to sell over 5 million copies worldwide.
