Martin aired on the Fox network from 1992 to 1997. The highly successful series starred Martin Lawrence (Martin) and Tisha Campbell (his girlfriend Gina). His constant mimesis and the target of his best “one liners” was Gina’s friend Pam played by Tichina Arnold.

Harlem Dance Caravan: Erasing The Boundaries performances were held on August 15th and 16th at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park. This is the second year SummerStage and the Faison Firehouse has collaborated on the outdoor, free to the public performing arts presentation; and it has already become one the most anticipated and well attended events offered in the summer series. This year the eclectic roster of performers included Baoku & The Image Afro-Beat Band, Cecilia Marta Dance Company, George Faison Universal Dance Experience, Jamel Gaines’ Creative Outlet, and Lotus Music & Dance Multicultural Artists. Maharishi University of Management granted degrees to 285 students representing 54 countries. Jim Carrey gave the commencement address to Maharishi University of Management’s class of 2014. The University Board of Trustees also presented Mr. Carrey with the honorary degree of Doctor of Fine Arts Honoris Causa, in recognition of his significant lifetime achievements as a world-renowned comedian and actor, artist, author and philanthropist. Hollywood Monday: Aaliyah- Queen Of The Damned
Queen of the Damned is a 2002 vampire horror film and a loose adaptation of the third novel of Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles series, The Queen of the Damned, although the film contains many plot elements from the latter novel’s predecessor, The Vampire Lestat. It stars Aaliyah as the vampire queen Akasha, and Stuart Townsend as the vampire Lestat. Queen of the Damned was released six months after Aaliyah’s death and is dedicated to her memory.
