Word Up! is a funk and R&B song written and recorded by Cameo in 1986. Due to its heavy play on American dance and R&B radio, as well as music video play on MTV (which has LeVar Burton as a police detective trying to arrest the band), the single became the band’s best known hit.

Parents Just Don’t Understand is the second single from DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince’s second studio album, He’s the DJ, I’m the Rapper. The song won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance at the 1989 Grammy Awards, one of the two songs to do so before the award was discontinued in 1991. It peaked at on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was released as a single in spring 1988.

Pharrell and Medicom Toy are planning collaboration for early 2017. The singer, rapper, composer, producer and designer will soon add toymaker to his resume. A collectable look a like action figure of the Nerds front man standing a little under 12 inches tall will debut in January 2017. Wearing the exact outfit Pharrell donned at the 2014 Grammys including an adidas track jacket, bracelets and signature Vivienne Westwood hat.
Pharrell recently posted images of his figurine via his twitter. The suggested retail price is $320.

Super Cat (born William Anthony Maragh in Kingston, Jamaica, 25 June 1963) is a deejay who achieved widespread popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s dancehall movement. His nickname Wild Apache, was given to him by his mentor Early B. Following the successful release of his highly anticipated memoir Shoe Dog, Nike co-founder and current chairman Phil Knight took to The Late Show to present Stephen Colbert with an exclusive, one-of-a-kind pair of Air Presto sneakers.
