Concepts has a big weekend ahead with three upcoming Nike SB collaborations dropping this Saturday, July 25th. The trio is known as the Grail Collection and inspired by classic catheral stain glass window motifs. This theme runs throughout each sneaker in the collection.
The Nike SB Stefan Janoski Max “Mosaic” utilizes a unique wear-away construction in which the vibrant primary colors of the upper will eventually fade away to reveal an underlying pristine white.
The Nike SB Dunk Low “Grail” champions iridescent qualities while a gold skull lace dubrae is a nice harkening back to the guardians of the Holy Grail.
The Nike SB High “Stained Glass” has one of the craziest all over prints a Dunk model has seen in a while, as a transparent overlay on the ankle support adds to the cathedral inspiration.
Concepts will also roll out extremely limited custom wooden boxes for each shoe in both their Cambridge and New York locations. This perk has sneaker heads already lining up for the limited release. This is only the beginning just wait until dawn Saturday morning!

Kevin Durant’s childhood dream of being a meteorologist has been a factor in the numerous colorways throughout his association with Nike. Now the What The KD 7 is back to reference a total of 18 different releases throughout 2014 and 2015 in one sneaker. It starts with the generous use of 3M material on this special edition Nike KD 7. Further references to his childhood are the midfoot straps that pay homage to his Aunt Pearl. The sneaker will release on Saturday June 20, 2015.

Co-founder Masaya Kuroki’s design plans for his new 700-square-foot shop were to offer a contrast to the brand’s first New York boutique at the NoMad Hotel, and the masculinity of the neighborhood itself, by articulating the space with bright tin ceilings, varnished oak floors and off-white walls. The entire men’s and women’s line will be on display, along with limited edition T-shirts and sweatshirts.

New York Fashion Week, the biannual fashion extravaganza will be moved to two new locations beginning fall 2015. Moynihan Station (Midtown West)
and Skylight Clarkson Square (Tribeca) were chosen by IMG, along with New York City Mayor, Bill de Blasio. This is a definite coup for the Skylight Group that runs both locations.
Lincoln Center was slated to house Fashion Week until 2020. The deal was dissolved when park advocates filed a suit against the event for encroaching on a small park nearby. To reduce chaos IMG suggested that some brands may be omitted from the schedule and that transportation will be provided. The also mentioned in a release that New York Fashion Week will also include a more carefully curated designer schedule that will be complemented by strategic partner alliances. We will have to wait until NWFW Spring 2016, scheduled September 10 through 17, to see how fashion editors, celebrities, designers and the public navigates the multiple locations.
