Prime Video debuted the first teaser for Madden, the highly anticipated biopic from director David O. Russell. In a casting choice as bold as a fourth-down conversion, Nicolas Cage steps into the headset of John Madden.
The film kicks off following Madden’s triumphant 1977 Super Bowl victory, charting his transition from the gridiron to the digital frontier. The cast is rounded out by Kathryn Hahn as Madden’s wife, Virginia, Sienna Miller as Carol Davis, and comedian Shane Gillis. Written and directed by Russell, the film promises to capture the effervescent spirit of a man who became the ultimate bridge between the sport and its fans. The film arrives Thanksgiving 2026.
