Apple Original Films has officially unveiled the debut trailer for Matchbox The Movie. Directed by Sam Hargrave and starring John Cena, the high-octane action feature brings Mattel’s iconic die-cast toy brand to life as a globe-trotting spy adventure.
Produced in collaboration with Skydance Media and Mattel Films, the ensemble cast features Jessica Biel, Arturo Castro, Sam Richardson, Teyonah Parris, Danai Gurira, Golshifteh Farahani, Corey Stoll, and Bill Camp. Production is handled by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Robbie Brenner, Ynon Kreiz, and Jules Daly, Patrick Newall, and Elizabeth Bassin serving as executive producers.Matchbox The Movie premieres globally on Apple TV on October 9, 2026.
