Ralph Lauren released the trailer for its first-ever animated short film, starring none other than the beloved Polo Bear.Ever since his arrival (as a birthday gift) at the imprint in 1990, Ralph Lauren‘s Polo Bear has been a vital part of the brand’s DNA.

For Ralph Lauren’s first-ever animated short film, the Polo Bear is the star of the show. Entitled The Polo Bear Chronicles: Operation Black Tie, the six-minute film fleshes out some more of our fashionable furry friend’s lore, following the Polo Bear as he attempts to solve a heist, making his way through moonlit galleries and other side quests before he winds up at a polo match at a private estate.Stay tuned for the full short film, debuting August 14 at 9 AM on YouTube Premiere.

The Met’s Arts of Africa galleries returned in May 2025, in a reimagined Michael C. Rockefeller Wing. Following a multiyear renovation, the reenvisioned installation reintroduces visitors to the Museum’s collection of sub-Saharan African art through a selection of some 500 works organized to survey major artistic movements and living traditions from across the subcontinent.
