Rattled and unsure how to fight off Big Money Grip’s claim, Fred (Redd Foxx) turns to Aunt Esther (LaWanda Page) for reinforcements, and for a moment it looks like even she might not be able to set things straight.
But true to form, Esther comes through in exactly the chaotic, no-nonsense way only she can, backing Fred up and helping put the whole mess to rest. It’s a great showcase of the family loyalty underneath all the bickering that made Fred and Esther’s dynamic one of the show’s best.
