Lionsgate has officially released the first trailer for Day Drinker, an upcoming nautical thriller directed by Marc Webb. The film stars Johnny Depp, Madelyn Cline, and Penélope Cruz in a twisted tale of crime, mystery, and revenge set on the high seas.
The feature marks Cline’s first major film project following the conclusion of Netflix’s Outer Banks. It also signals a high-profile studio return for both Depp and Cruz, who spent 2026 starring in acclaimed independent productions including La Bola Negra, The Invite, and Bunker. The film is produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Adam Kolbrenner, Zach Dean, and Nathan Kahane.Day Drinker releases in theaters on March 26, 2027.
