11/15/21 O&A NYC SONG OF THE DAY: Diana Ross- I Still Believe

I Still Believe the song by Diana Ross takes a page out of the “Love Hangover” playbook (as did Diana’s version of “I Will Survive”), starting off as a sultry piano-led ballad before exploding into a joyful, club-ready groove. Ms. Ross is in fine, lush voice crooning the words “In love I still believe…it’s all I ever need…,” and as she’s joined by a soft symphony of instruments, one can’t help but think of another Ross classic, “Theme from Mahogany.” But when the tempo picks up, a Latin-infused disco beat takes over that lends a new, exciting sound to the already-vast Diana discography.
