Jerry Seinfeld created a lot of buzz last Wednesday with the debut episode of  Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee- Season 7. Instead of the typical jokester, the actor welcomed an elected official to the program, none other than President Barack Obama. Over the past six seasons, a veritable who’s who of the comedic world including Louis C.K., Will Ferrell, Sarah Silverman, Larry David and Chris Rock  has joined Jerry Seinfeld for a ride and a cup of joe in the Crackle series.   Continue reading

Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo is the ninth episode of the first season of the animated television series South Park. It originally aired on Comedy Central in the United States on December 17, 1997. In the episode, the Jewish character Kyle feels excluded from the town’s celebrations during Christmas, and is comforted by Mr. Hankey, a talking and singing lump of feces wearing a red hat.

The Niggar Family, one of comedian Dave Chappelle’s most controversial skits, explores the question of what effect “the n-word” would have if it were just another name. The skit is filmed in black and white, with sets and costumes right out of Father Knows Best or Leave It to Beaver or, for a more recent reference, Pleasantville. Chris Rock: Bring the Pain is a 1996 HBO television special starring comedian Chris Rock. This was Rock’s second special for the network, following 1994’s Big Ass Jokes. Rock was already a well-known comedian, but Bring the Pain made him one of the most popular comedians in the United States. The special was taped at a tour stop at the Takoma Theatre in Washington, D.C. The long await live broadcast of the 1975 Tony Award winning musical The Wiz airs tonight. The special will star performers Queen Latifah in the role of the Wiz, Mary J. Blige as Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West, Uzo Aduba as Glinda the Good Witch, David Alan Grier as the Cowardly Lion, Ne-Yo as the Tin Man, Elijah Kelley as the Scarecrow, Common as the Bouncer/Gatekeeper of the Emerald City and Stephanie Mills (who originated the role of Dorothy in The Wiz) as Aunt Em, among a number of other performers.
