Most dancemakers are freelance artists. Rather than working as a full-time employee for a single company these modern-day troubadours are self-employed creative professionals, who sell their artwork and expertise on a project to project or contract basis. Despite the entrepreneurial responsibilities many artists enjoy the artistic and creative freedom. In the second part of the O&A NYC interview with Robert Battle he discusses his return to the freelance world.
