It’s Taylor Time! The Paul Taylor Dance Company will begin it’s New York season Tuesday November 3, 2026, at Lincoln Center’s New York State Theater. The three-week, 19 performance season will run through November 22, and feature 10 works by Taylor, new works by Resident Choreographers Lauren Lovette and Robert Battle, a New York premiere by Pam Tanowitz, and the revival of Alwin Nikolais’ Tensile Involvement. One of the company’s newest members Patrick Gamble will mark his second year with the Compnay with the 2026 Lincoln Center season. O&A NYC Editor-in-Chief Walter Rutledge sat down with Gamble to discuss his first year as a Taylor Company member; his challenges and discoveries.

Patrick Gamble is a true “dance baby” he began his dance training at the age of five in The Ailey School’s Junior Division. Later he graduated from the Ailey/Fordham BFA program with a double major in Art History. During his three year association with Ailey II, he has performed works by Robert Battle, Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Hope Boykin, Baye and Asa, Andrea Miller, Rena Butler, Earl Mosley, and Francesca Harper.

After his tenure with Ailey II he became a member in the final cast of the award-winning off Broadway immersive theatrical experience Sleep No More. Gamble joined the Taylor company in the summer of 2025 and made his Lincoln Center debut the following November. For the 2026 season Gamble is anticipating roles in Taylor’s Cloven Kingdom and Lauren Lovette’s 30 Incoming (World Premiere).
