NYC Black Pride 2016 held it’s 8th Heritage Awards Ceremony on Friday, August 19 at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, 515 Lenox Avenue West 135th Street in Harlem. The evening presented twenty-six awards to over thirty individuals and organizations who have had a positive intact on the LGBTQ community. The series will conclude with A Song For You: An Evening With Dudley Williams. Dancer and teacher Dudley Williams will discuss the creative process and collaborative relation he shared with choreographer Alvin Ailey, which lead to the creation of the ballet Love Songs.
