Mush n Milk is one of the series’ classics. Set in a boarding home for children it is most remembered for the breakfast scenes line, “Don’t drink the milk… Why? Its spoiled”.

The Silence of the Lambs (1991) a psychological horror-thriller film directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, and Scott Glenn. The film is based on Thomas Harris’ 1988 novel of the same name, his second to feature Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer. It was only the third film, the other two being It Happened One Night and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, to win Academy Awards in all the top five categories: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, and Adapted Screenplay. Gregory and Maurice Hines, Harlem natives and child entertainers were the sons of Alma Iola (Lawless) and Maurice Robert Hines, a dancer, musician, and actor. Maurice began his career at the age of five and Gregory at age two. Both studied tap dance at the Henry LeTang Dance Studio in Manhattan. LeTang recognized their talent and began choreographing numbers specifically for them patterned on the Nicholas Brothers. Continue reading

Star Wars has become so popular the public has created a Sci-fi holiday. On May 4, people around the globe celebrate Star Wars Day. Recognizing Star Wars on May 4 reportedly dates back to 1979 when Margaret Thatcher took office as U.K. prime minister and was congratulated with an ad in the London Evening News which read, “May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations.” as a play on “May the force be with you, Luke.” So, now May the 4th is celebrated as Star Wars Day annually. Continue reading
