NYC Black Pride 2016 held it’s 8th Heritage Awards Ceremony on Friday, August 19 at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, 515 Lenox Avenue West 135th Street in Harlem. The evening presented twenty-six awards to over thirty individuals and organizations who have had a positive intact on the LGBTQ community. The bar and main floor became an informal yet intimate setting for the four-hour soiree, which eventually spilled out in to the courtyard.
