Creative Outlet Dance Theatre of Brooklyn presented a three-day performance series May 15th through 17th at Kumble Performance Center, LIU Downtown Brooklyn Campus. The event entitled, An Artist Grows In Brooklyn, marked the organization’s twentieth anniversary and featured present company members, returning alumnus, faculty and students from the school. Now the What The KD 7 is back to reference a total of 18 different releases throughout 2014 and 2015 in one sneaker. It starts with the generous use of 3M material on this special edition Nike KD 7. Further references to his childhood are the midfoot straps that pay homage to his Aunt Pearl. The sneaker will release on Saturday June 20, 2015.

Top Hat was the most successful picture of Astaire and Rogers’ partnership (and Astaire’s second most successful picture after Easter Parade), achieving second place in worldwide box-office receipts for 1935. While some dance critics maintain that Swing Time contained a finer set of dances, Top Hat remains, to this day, the partnership’s best-known work. Continue reading
